What's in a name?

The name Wolfe’s Moab takes inspiration from the nearby historic landmark, Wolfe’s Ranch. An early settler and civil war veteran, John Weasly Wolfe was one of few pioneers who went West seeking a more arid climate. An eccentric character, he paid no mind to dirt floors despite using a 100-piece set of blue China dishes in his primitive cabin. He maintained friendly relations with nomadic natives and was an early adopter of subsistence farming and grazing in marginal environments, making him a unique purveyor and admirer of the crimson, rocky landscapes. We nod to his rich history with our own goal of letting guests and locals enjoy the same treasured land he called home.
